When Tony Marsico first moved to Belize, the area in which he developed his first property was simply called "south of Hopkins," now it is referred to as Sittee Point.

For the seventh interview in our series, we meet an expat couple who moved around to live in different parts of the Cayo district until they found their place. They decided to settle in Armenia Village, which is located along the nation's Hummingbird Highway south of the capitol, Belmopan. Armenia is set in the foothills of the Mayan Mountain Range and is surrounded by jungle, caves, rivers and wildlife.

The fifth interview in our series, Interview with an Expat in Corozal, Belize, takes us to Corozal in northern Belize. In Corozal, one sees a lot of Spanish/Mexican influence, as the town is very close to the border with Mexico. The town sits on a large bay, and is surrounded by lots of smaller rural villages and agricultural areas. Living just outside of Corozal town, we meet an expat who visited the country with her family just once before buying a house, moving, and hitting the ground running by establishing a business and getting her Work Permit right away.

The fourth interview in our series, Interview with an Expat in Spanish Lookout, Belize, is our second visit to the Cayo district, and this time we meet Sherrie Reimers, who lives with her husband near the town of Spanish Lookout. Spanish Lookout is located in the northern part of the Cayo District in western Belize, about an hour and a half drive from Belize City. The nearest large town is San Ignacio, which is about 20 miles away.
